Field upon field of grain has now been harvested and skeins of geese are regularly heading towards the RSPB reserve at Strathbeg, red berries are appearing on rowans.
The road from Inverurie via Rothienorman to Aberchirder is Dr Anne's favourite. Every season brings a flutter to her heart. Yesterday it was the combines, the bails against the green of the forests and the greys of the sky.
