Jungle City: An Edinburgh Safari

In the city for the day, Grey Granite and Dr Anne went on an Edinburgh Safari to view as many of the Jungle City Exhibits on display at various locations throughout the city as possible. Women with a mission, they had great fun exploring this witty and thought provoking exhibition.

Here is a random selection of the 130 exhibits.
Chocodile- good enough to eat

Mother by Rabiya Choudhry, the crocodile who 'welcomes little fishes in with sweetly smiling jaws'

Gone bananas by Jemma Pearson
Possibly Grey Granite's favourite,a wonderfully detailed, witty design. Small insects crawl amongst the banana leaves and fruits, a banana flower hangs down his back and, of course, he is wearing banana boots.

Berries and (behind) Flowers and Butterflies both by Diana Railston. Two exquisitely decorated hornbills in Princes Street Gardens

Tick by Seif Al Hasini. Dr Anne's favourite

Grey Granite particularly liked the amiable Piper  (Sally Regis) in the National Museum of Scotland.

Tiger Head - Vettriano's Singing Butler Rides Again and Again. Grey Granite thought that the tiger had wonderful bluebell eyes but...

Dr Anne thought that the butler lacked a certain something....

Blake by J Rocket and S Warrington, richly jewelled and burning bright in Harvey Nichols

A Penny for Your Thoughts by Jane Morgan

Fragile, by A & A Connell,  decorated in a Delft Blue design, as delicate as his  fagile jungle eco system

H.R.H. keeping a watchful eye on a tartan elephant outside the National Gallery

Fettes Tiger, (Elizabeth Anderson) Jeffrey (Karen Hollis) and Dr Anne in St Andrew's Square
